VerticalLift was hired by Cleveland's Irish Cultural Festival to create an affordable and visually impressive site that would provide a way for the festival to communicate with, and receive feedback from, festival fans. VerticalLift designed a sleek looking site that has received rave reviews from site visitors. The colors used on the site were chosen for reasons obvious to the Irish, and the modernistic design serves as a symbolic bridge between the old and new worlds. Recently, festival organizers turned to VerticalLift with the desire to compile a database of site visitors to be used as a mailing list. VerticalLift installed a MySQL server-side database as well as a php interface to enable visitor subscription and identity authentication. VerticalLift designed the newsletter template and currently administers the mailing list while writing copy for the festival newsletter. The ability to send out festival reminders and updates to hundreds, and eventually thousands, of interested site visitors will greatly enhance festival turnout. VerticalLift also manages a third party guestbook for festival. |
